I have recently redesigned some my companies marketing material and on my companies business leaflets I have included a photograph of a sexy young domestic cleaning maid. The photograph covers about 25% of the front side of the leaflet.
We have already delivered in the region of 16000 of these new business leaflets and I can honestly say that my hit rate per thousand as doubled. Is the reason for this increase the picture of the attractive cleaning maid or is it because all of a sudden people have more disposable income available to them?
My gut feeling is that it is the sexy cleaning maid more than the increase in disposable income, what are your thoughts and have you tried something similar in the past?

Having already yesterday jeopardised my New Years resolution of getting more of my companies domestic cleaning leaflets out by not chancing the horrendous conditions, today I thought I would give it a go.
After another overnight 4 inches of snow I thought this a ridiculous idea but hey ho, slow and steady I thought ….
Having got out the grand total of 60 cleaning leaflets, I found myself sprawled out on the floor for the third time. It was then that I decided it was no use sitting on some strangers driveway crying so I decided to come home. I considered that a broken limb wouldn’t be good for business.
Getting home and sharing my misery with Jackie and the children (yes, the schools are closed too, but fortunately Jackie was off today), they couldn’t find it in themselves to stop laughing at the thought of me lying in the snow while they were at home in the warm.
On the basis of getting no sympathy at home I thought I would share my sorrow with you.
Can you please arrange for some heavy rain or prolonged sunshine on this side of the Pennines …. for the sake of New Years resolutions!

Franchise arrangements are often called chain stores.
Franchising (from the French for honesty or freedom) is a method of doing business wherein a franchisor licenses trademarks and tried and proven methods of doing business to a franchisee in exchange for a recurring payment, and usually a percentage piece of gross sales or gross profits as well as the annual fees. Various tangibles and intangibles such as national or international advertising, training, and other support services are commonly made available by the franchisor, and may indeed be required by the franchisor, which generally requires audited books, and may subject the franchisee or the outlet to periodic and surprise spot checks. Failure of such tests typically involve non-renewal or cancellation of franchise rights.
A business operated under a franchise arrangement is often called a chain store, franchise outlet, or simply franchise

Hopefully you will find this domestic cleaning tip that gives you advice on cleaning your butcher block to be of some use. You will also find below a link to other domestic cleaning tips that make up this series of blogs that I am currently publishing on a regular basis.
Household cleaning tip No72 offers some advice on cleaning your butcher block.
Butcher blocks are well known for being a breeding ground for bacteria. keeping your butcher block hygienic is extremely important, when you have used your butcher block always wash it with a mild detergent and then leave it to air dry thoroughly.
Then carefully rub some salt into your block to help to draw out any moisture which may be trapped within the crevices of your butcher block.
Also to help to keep your butcher block in top notch condition carefully rub a very small layer of mineral oil into the wood upon completion of the cleaning.
New domestic cleaning tips are always more than welcome.

Starting your own domestic cleaning business requires a lot of research and plenty of courage.
I firstly began by researching my local area looking through newspapers and phone books to determine what competition there was around, and what they charged for their services, if they were a company or an agency? In general an agency can operate with less overheads than a company so potentially they can operate more economically and offer a first class service at a cost effective price for their clientele. Also I had to determine if I were to enter into that market place then how and where would I start? What would I charge? Where would I find clients? What about cleaners? Whichever way I turned I seemed to be putting a barrier in the way of myself with further questions and concerns. A problem I have always had is that I am not really a gambling type of person, I had always been used to going out doing a days/weeks work and then getting paid for it, I had to change my attitude and for once take what I thought at the time was a massive gamble, in hindsight I don’t believe that it was a gamble and I still feel that I’m not the gambling type.
I decided in the end to set myself a start date and to channel my energies towards achieving that goal. I set about creating some advertising material ready for the day that I had chosen; also I decided upon a small local market town to use as a guinea pig to learn my new trade in. I got myself insured had some contract books printed and when the day finally arrived I began walking the streets spreading the word from house to house and has they say the rest is history, I have never looked back its proved to be the best decision that I ever made for myself and my family.

One of the simplest techniques for removing soap scum from your bath, sinks, and shower doors is by using a damp dryer sheet.
Simply wipe down the scum with the dryer sheet. also it is a good pointer to keep a few dryer sheets handy in your bathroom ready to wipe down your bath and shower straight after you have used them. Remembering to do this should save you having to deal with soap scum in the future.
