Vacuum cleaners and household hoovers are an essential domestic cleaning tool for every household that possesses carpets or mats.  Vacuum cleaners come in various shapes and sizes, four very well known makes are Dyson, Hoover, Henry and Kirby.

Vacuum cleaners are used to pick up the loose dust and dirt that settles daily onto your carpeted areas.  Vacuum cleaners work by suction quickly sucking up the dirt as you carefully walk around pushing the vacuum cleaner over your carpet. 

You should always remember to clean your vacuum cleaner on a regular basis after use to prevent your machine from getting bunged up and possibly burning itself out.

There are even robotic vacuum cleaners about these days as well as vacuum systems that can be built into the walls of your house.

Cobwebber household cleaning tool

A very useful household cleaning tool is the cobwebber also known in some quarters as a tickling stick.  The comedian Ken Dodd is famous for using a cobwebber or tickling stick on stage as part of his very funny comedy routines! 

Like the name suggests cobwebbers are used mainly for ridding cobwebs from the walls and ceilings of your household.   The cobwebber is just a fluffy stick that enables you to reach those awkward spots alot easier.   Some people tend to improvise by using the wand from their vacuum cleaner to get rid of cobwebs while other people just use a small stick with a cloth or a sock hung over the end.

Always remember to clean your cobwebber outside after using it because if you do not keep it nice and clean you will end up making more mess as dirt starts to fall off it!

Dusters cleaning cloths

Probably the best known of all domestic cleaning and cleaning in general tools is the everyday common household duster.  There is rarely ever a cleaning job that is undertaken where at some point or other a duster is not required.

Like the name suggests dusters or cleaning cloths are used for dusting furniture, skirting boards, doors, door furniture, worktops, window cills and almost every other household item that you can think of.

Dusters are supplied in various sizes and colours although there is no real importance attached to this.   What is very important although is that you must periodically keep your duster clean by washing it on a regular basis otherwise you will end up spreading dirt, dust and potentially germs from one area of your household to another.
