First soak your cleaning cloth in a solution of hydrogen peroxide then gently rub the blood stain. For really difficult blood stains you can also try rubbing a paste of corn flour into the stain and leave it out in the sun.

Hydrogen peroxide is also a much greener choice than bleach in this increasingly green conscious world.
