Hi Dolly

Interesting blog - you seem to be getting a following for your niche. I found your site because I subscribe to google alerts for the term 'double glazing' - my niche.

A tip for you would be to use AWeber for capturing people's email addresses, and building a list of people receiving your posts.

Gimmicks are fine to generate quick sales, but it is more important to concentrate on building a following. Merchants have to find ways to get repeat customers other than just using gimmicks. Consumers are very fickle.

"Added Value" is the name of the game otherwise you are no different that the store across the street.

What's your "Added Value"? How are you different?

In case you missed it, read this excellent blog: http://tinyurl.com/5hbskb

Hi Robin

Other sales gimmicks (or incentives) that spring to mind are coupons and vouchers, one time offers (OTO's) images of pretty girls, cars or other status symbols, anything connected with a seasonal/annual event, valentine, xmas, birthdays, weddings etc. free reports or information, free memberships just about anything free actually!

All are things to add perceived value to a potential purchase, a birthday wouldn't be complete without a cake like *this one* que image of happy smiling people all looking at a tasty cake - that you can buy at a discount - but only for a limited time - so hurry and *click here* to secure your cakey NOW! <=== a call to action =) ...before they are all gone :O
